Mission Statement

Spread the love

We will be different and rigorous in our duty to effectively apply ourselves to the media eco-system of our Nation State where we will seek to distinguish ourselves; where we shall have to remind, implore and encourage citizens to live up to their responsibilities, to dare with ideas and initiatives as well as pool their efforts with missionary steps today for an envisioned better tomorrow. We will be different based on research, understanding and the useful news and comments that we avail the public with.

We will be different as we step in the journalism industry aware that ideologies, sentiments or interests often confuse and mislead citizens this dividing instead of uniting them. But in this complex media world we will be a regenerating force in inviting al the high and the low to promote the common good. We shall therefore never be confused by the glitters of office instead of the transformational qualities or services of occupants. Besides, to support and encourage honest, patriotic and self-less service, we will champion the ideology of service to humanity. We will be different in putting into practice our conviction that ordinary men and women count especially when they do extra ordinary things that fundamentally impact the lives of others.

We doubt not the power of the press with words and ideals, to galvanize leaders and the led, the strong and the weak, the refined and the crude, men and women, young and old the rich and the poor, the wise and the foolish, the good and the bad, and indeed all, to stitch intricate web of issues of problems being thrust on the society by nature and or man. We will be different here by opening new routes for journalism to enter into the hearts of men and women and those of communities with modest but impactful corporate social responsibility.

We will be different in our belief, in addition to that, besides every other thing the ombudsman role is always to be executed with a clear conscience; that objectivity and fact as well as fairness to all (parties), at all times, offer the best way to engender trust, respect and credibility. And we shall have our door open to adherents of our beliefs who have been estranged and frustrated.

We hold that good journalism is not only needed in the land for democracy and the economy to blossom, but it is one of the vital ingredients for the attainment, sustenance and promotion of justice, peace and development. We shall therefore gain traction from the confidence, openness and respect that we accord all members of the team, as a policy. Expectedly, team spirit as well as motivation will lead to hard work, harmony and happiness which are some of the low hanging fruits that every group or society deserves to succeed.

Finally we believe in God to lead us aright as we share in the dream of individuals, families, communities or organisations that seek to create or sustain the Cosmos for the common good, with our focus, ethics and integrity intact.
