The Benue Investment and Property Company Limited, BIPC, has announced that the Galleria Park Makurdi will commence operations in December 2026.

Group Managing Director of BIPC, Dr. Raymond Asemakaha, disclosed this on Friday during an inspection of ongoing construction work at the amusement park.

Asemakaha said the project, when completed, would provide residents and visitors to Benue State with a modern recreational facility designed to promote relaxation, entertainment and family bonding.

According to him, the park will feature a serene environment, a waterfall, and a 1,000-capacity event centre suitable for weddings, marriages, conferences and other social gatherings.

He added that the park would also serve as an avenue for families to relax during holidays while enjoying a range of products produced by BIPC companies.

The BIPC boss said the Galleria Park is expected to create more than 100 direct jobs and over 500 indirect employment opportunities for youths in the state when fully operational.

He commended the Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, for creating an enabling environment for BIPC to revive dormant assets belonging to the state.

“BIPC will continue to serve as a special purpose vehicle and engine for driving economic growth, investment and development across the state,” Asemakaha stated.

He also urged Benue youths to acquire skills in construction and other technical fields, citing the Korean workers handling the project as an example of opportunities available through skills development.

Asemakaha charged artisans working on the project to intensify efforts and increase the pace of construction to meet the December 2026 deadline.

In his response, the leader of the Korean builders, Kilm Kim Ann, assured BIPC management that the project would be completed within the stipulated timeframe.

The Galleria Park is expected to boost Makurdi’s recreational and hospitality offerings while contributing to employment generation and economic activity in the state.
